AI Editor

AI Editor lets you enhance selected text using AI directly in the editor, with options to fix grammar, polish the writing, or rewrite in your own style.

How to use it

1. Open a note in Alanotes or create a new one

2. Select the text you want to improve

3. Click the AI button in the editor toolbar

4. Choose one of the following:

   • Grammar Fix - corrects grammar and spelling errors

   • Polish - improves clarity and flow while keeping your meaning

   • Rewrite in My Style - rewrites the text to match your saved writing style

How to set your writing style

To use Rewrite in My Style, set up your style profile first:

1. Open the AI menu in the editor toolbar

2. Click Set My Style

3. Save your style profile

4. Run Rewrite in My Style on your selected text

• AI edits preserve Alano markdown formatting

• Your style profile only needs to be set once — it applies every time you use Rewrite in My Style

• You can update your style profile at any time from the same AI menu
